Four Seasons Hotel, New York

The Four Seasons Hotel sits at 57 East 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan. The landmark building was designed by renowned architect I. M. Pei, known for the Louvre Pyramid in Paris, in collaboration with Frank Williams. Its limestone exterior carries Pei’s signature geometric clarity, rising with a quiet confidence in the surrounding grid. At the time of its completion, it stood noticeably tall, almost slightly out of place. Pei understood that certain things are built not for their moment but for all the moments that follow. Today, it remains a study in restraint and foresight, and a quiet, luxurious way to experience the city from within it.
